Job Summary
SummaryResponsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of a hospital or other healthcare facility, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Essential Functions
Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenish restroom supplies as needed.
Pick up debris around buildings and grounds.
Operate and maintain high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines.
Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and routine hospital activities.
Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned areas and facilities.
