It is a leading transportation company specializing in railcar leasing, with more than 125 years of international experience. Its European division, with a strong presence in Poland, manages a fleet of over 23,200 modern tank and freight railcars, providing comprehensive leasing, maintenance, and telematics services across more than 20 countries.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our project team working on complex, distributed systems and large-scale transformation initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical understanding of data structures, and the ability to work across multiple teams in a structured, delivery-focused environment.

You will be:

Key Responsibilities
• Elicit, analyze, and document business and system requirements
• Translate business needs into clear User Stories at both high-level and technical levels
• Support backlog management, refinement, and prioritization in collaboration with Product Owners and development teams
• Work closely with multiple teams (min. 2 teams) to ensure alignment and consistency across solutions
• Participate in large-scale initiatives such as system migrations and platform transformations
• Analyze and support data models and relational database structures
• Collaborate with stakeholders across business and IT to design scalable solutions
• Support testing activities (validation of requirements, UAT support)
• Ensure high-quality documentation in Jira and Confluence environments
• Contribute to solution design for web-based and distributed systems

Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Understanding of data modeling concepts
• Experience working with distributed systems / platform-based architectures
• Experience in web-based systems development projects
• Very good knowledge of Jira and Confluence tools

Project & Domain Experience
• Proven experience in migration projects and complex IT initiatives involving multiple teams
• Experience working in fixed-price project environments
• Ability to work across complex system landscapes and integrations

Business Analysis Skills
• Strong experience in writing User Stories, including:
o high-level business stories
o detailed technical stories with acceptance criteria
• Experience in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation
• Understanding of Agile methodologies

Soft Skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of independence and ownership
• Strong teamwork mindset (team player)
• Risk management ability an awareness

Summary
This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who is comfortable operating at the intersection of business, data, and technology, and who thrives in complex, multi-team project environments.

Your profile:

• Practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.

• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.

• Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
