Overview

The Director, Performance Strategy – Commerce is responsible for leading commerce-focused performance media strategies thatdrivemeasurablebusinessoutcomesacrossretailmedianetworks,marketplaces,anddirect-to-consumer(DTC)channels.Thisroleensuresthatmediainvestmentsarealignedwithclientbusinessobjectivesandoptimizedforgrowth,efficiency,andlong-termsuccess.

As a strategic partner to Planning, Analytics, Activation, and Commerce teams, theDirectordevelopsdata-drivenstrategies,overseesperformancemeasurementframeworks,andidentifiesopportunitiestoenhancecommerceperformanceacrossplatformssuchasAmazon,Walmart,Instacart,retailernetworks,andsocialcommercechannels.

KeyResponsibilities

• Leadthedevelopmentandexecutionofcommerce-focusedperformancemediastrategiesthatsupportretailmedia,marketplace,andeCommercebusinessobjectives.
• Establishandoverseecommercemeasurementframeworkstoensurecampaignsareaccuratelytracked,analyzed,andcontinuouslyoptimized.
• PartnerwithMediaPlanningteamstointegratecommerceperformancestrategiesintobroaderfull-funnelmediaplans.
• Identifyandimplementinnovativeapproacheswithinretailmedia,marketplaceadvertising,socialcommerce,andemergingcommercechannels.
• CollaboratewithPlanning,Analytics,andActivationteamstoensuremediainvestmentsalignwithkeybusinessandperformanceKPIs.
• Developaudiencetargetingandsegmentationstrategiesleveragingfirst-partydata,retailloyaltyprograms,customerinsights,andplatformdata.
• Driveoptimizationinitiativesfocusedonimprovingreturnonadspend(ROAS),customeracquisitionefficiency,andoverallcommerceperformance.
• Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithkeycommercemediapartners,includingAmazon,Walmart,Target,Instacart,andotherretailmedianetworks.
• Provideleadership,coaching,andmentorshiptoperformancemarketingteams,supportingcapabilitydevelopmentandbestpracticesincommercestrategy.
• Leadtest-and-learninitiativestoevaluatenewopportunities,improvemeasurementapproaches,andenhancemediaeffectiveness.

Qualifications

• Provenexperienceinperformancemarketing,commercemedia,retailmedia,oreCommercestrategy.
• Strongunderstandingofretailmedianetworks,marketplaceadvertising,paidmedia,andcommerceecosystems.
• Expertiseinperformancemeasurement,attribution,audiencestrategy,andmediaoptimization.
• Experiencemanagingcross-functionalteamsandcollaboratingwithPlanning,Analytics,Activation,andclientstakeholders.
• Stronganalyticalandstrategicthinkingskillswiththeabilitytotranslatedataintoactionablebusinessrecommendations.
• Excellentcommunication,presentation,andstakeholdermanagementcapabilities.
• ExperienceworkingwithmajorcommerceplatformssuchasAmazonAds,WalmartConnect,InstacartAds,TargetRoundel,andsocialcommerceplatformsishighlydesirable.
