Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Firewall/Security testing andstrong hands-on automation. This role requires technical leadership, end-to-end ownership of test strategy for assigned components, and building scalable automation and test tools to ensure high-quality SonicOS releases.

Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services usingPython.
• Build and support web applications usingDjango andFlask frameworks.
• Contribute to API development, system integrations, and application performance optimization.
• Exposure toRuby on Rails (RoR) is a plus.

Frontend Development

• Work withVue.js applications to implement new features and resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize frontend components for performance and usability.
• Collaborate with UI/UX and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Database Management

• Design, develop, and optimize solutions usingPostgreSQL.
• Create efficient database schemas, write complex queries, and improve database performance.
• Ensure data integrity, scalability, and reliability across applications.

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Work with cloud and virtualization technologies such asOpenStack or similar platforms.
• Support development, testing, and deployment activities in virtualized environments.

Required Qualifications

• Strong programming experience inPython.
• Hands-on experience withDjango andFlask.
• Working knowledge ofVue.js and modern web application architectures.
• Experience withPostgreSQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withRuby on Rails (RoR).
• Understanding ofnetworking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Familiarity withfirewall technologies and cybersecurity concepts.
• Experience with cloud, virtualization, or simulation platforms such asOpenStack.

Education

• B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in CS/IT or related fields
