Senior Frontend Engineer

One of our product suites, the Monocl product suite, was launched in 2016, developed in Sweden, with Gothenburg as the European Definitive Healthcare HQ.The Monocl team works from locations around the world, with approximately 50 employees based in Sweden.

What you'll be doing 
In this role, you will work in a team of experienced frontend engineers in close collaboration with product, backend, and infrastructure teams to build and scale the services that power our platform. 

You will be part of a high-performing, supportive environment where curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life. With the backing of talented colleagues, you will take an active role in: 

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript 

• Driving the architectural evolution of our frontend to support growth, performance, and user experience at scale 

• Writing robust, maintainable, and testable code with a strong focus on usability and accessibility 

• Collaborating cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver impactful features 

• Mentoring and supporting other engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership 

• Contributing to frontend best practices and advocating for continuous improvement in processes and tooling

Experience 

• Several years of professional experience in frontend development, with significant experience in TypeScript and Angular, or similar frameworks 

• Proven experience designing and implementing complex, scalable, and high-performing frontend applications 

• Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture, state management, and component-driven development 

• Solid experience collaborating with designers to deliver polished, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces 

• Experience leading technical discussions, mentoring engineers, and contributing to architectural decisions 

• Strong understanding of testing practices and code quality standards 

Nice to Have 

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS 

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern build tooling (Webpack, Nx, etc.) 

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) 

• Familiarity with databases (both SQL and NoSQL)
