 About the OpportunityÂ
The Intervention Specialist supports the educational and behavioral goals of all students with a focus on students with an Individualized Education Program.Â
- Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting the abilities and disabilities of these students, assisting in classroom intervention strategies, modifying general education curricular as necessary, and assisting the student with regular class assignmentsÂ
- Conduct diagnostic assessments for instructionÂ
- Facilitate IEP Meetings and write IEP goals and objectivesÂ
- Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and culture as well as state specific achievement goalsÂ
- Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and instructionÂ
- Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleaguesÂ
- Serve as case manager for a designated set of studentsÂ
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of the studentsÂ
- Willingness to take on cross-team assignments and projectsÂ
- Perform other duties as assignedÂ

About YouÂ
- Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License (preferred)Â
- Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core StandardsÂ
- High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoringÂ
- High quality written and verbal communication skillsÂ
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google productsÂ
- Excellent organization and time management skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently and contribute to a teamÂ
- Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks (FBI/BCI)Â
- Experience working in a multi-cultural setting (preferred)Â
