About NTAM Invest Operations

The NTAM Invest Ops department is a dynamic multi-faceted division that partners & actively collaborates with the front end and the back end groups within the Global Investment Operations space; supporting & servicing the Portfolio management & trading desk teams across different geographies. Our focus is on controlled, centralized and uninterrupted support with a focus for operational excellence for functions that extend beyond those encompassed within the front and back offices. The India NTAM Invest Operations group is comprised of 3 main business units Client Administration consists of Client Communication, Client Ops Data & Fees, Investment Administration consists of Front office support & Client Trade, Portfolio Administration consists of Reconciliation, Income, Corporate Actions & Accounting. In addition, other allied groups that constitute are Client Reporting, Portfolio compliance, Data Management, Pricing & Valuations; who partner with each other to deliver best in class operational delivery. The NTAM Invest Ops department serves as a Centre Of Excellence and are at the forefront of leading, testing & implementing various projects across the larger NTAM department.

SUMMARY

The primary focus of this role will be to support the Fixed Income and Equity Portfolio Management group. A Senior Analyst in the Corporate Actions team is responsible for accurately processing and verifying various corporate action events, including dividends, mergers, stock splits, and rights issues. The role involves conducting a detailed review and performing secondary checks to ensure all activities are completed in compliance with timeliness and procedures. The Senior Analyst collaborates closely with other internal teams such as Reconciliation, Data Management, Front office support and on shore partners to resolve discrepancies and address complex queries.

MAJOR DUTIES

Focus on resolution of complex Corporate Actions transactions, where expertise is required to interpret policies, guidelines and/or processes of the International Markets. Identification, escalation and resolution of corporate action issues with particular emphasis on critical and complex issues. Works Closely with the team in ensuring timely completion of the daily activities, Monitors operations and accounting activities to ensure that all necessary reports, documents, and action items are processed. Receives service requests from clients and partners, executes daily client activity, oversees transaction processing, handles inquiry resolution, obtains appropriate documentation, and ensure systems information is up to date.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

Hands on experience on Data scrubbing or Processing of Corporate actions events is preferred. Require understanding of Corporate actions life cycle & wide range of Mandatory Corporate Action and Voluntary Corporate Action event types (Viz.. Tax reclaims, Stock Split, Spin-off, Merger, Acquisitions, Assimilation, Dividend Reinvestment, Rights issue, Optional currency etc.)  across all the markets. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential in this role. Contributes to process improvement initiatives, enhancing efficiency and minimizing risk within the Corporate Actions team. Ability to actively collaborate and work with extended team outside of the Business unit & Generates ideas for operational efficiency and assesses impact. Must have good interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and foster excellent working relationships with internal and external partners.

EXPERIENCE

For internal applications - 24 months as Analyst/12 months as Analyst II

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required / preferred. 2-3 years of relevant experience in Asset Servicing or Asset Management.
