Job Description:
Our client is seeking experiencedJava Developers to design and build a scalable, high-performance automated locates platform for their securities finance business. You will develop distributed, enterprise-grade applications using modern Java frameworks, cloud technologies, and microservices architecture in a collaborative equities environment.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance systems for securities finance automation, including the automated locates platform
- Build distributed systems and enterprise-grade applications using Java, Spring frameworks, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Develop and optimize SQL-based data models and queries for high-volume transactional systems across relational databases
- Integrate with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, SQS, SNS) and Redis caching solutions for real-time data processing
- Implement cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services and microservices architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with existing securities finance workflows and legacy systems
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude) to enhance code quality and productivity
- Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews to maintain high standards
- 8-10 years of professionalJava development experience with deep expertise in Core Java andSpring frameworks
- Strong proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker,Kubernetes) and microservices architecture patterns
- Expert-levelSQL skills and relational database design experience with MS SQL and/or MySQL
- Hands-on experience with distributed messaging systems (Kafka, MQ) and AWS messaging services (SQS, SNS)
- Proven experience withRedis caching and AWS cloud services in production environments
- Strong understanding of high-performance, scalable system design for financial services or similarly demanding domains
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience; familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is a plus
