Java Developer

Location: Whippany, NJ (Hybrid)

Duration: Contract

Job Description:

· Hands on with Spring Boot 3, Spring, Java 21, Mongo, REST, Event based application experience, Cucumber/Karate/Junit5. Eng - Gitlab, Container based deployment (Kubernetes) - Senior Level Key

Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications

· Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, QA, DevOps)

· Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems

· Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards

· Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party services

· Optimize application performance and scalability

· Maintain technical documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

· Strong proficiency in Java (8 or above)

· Experience with Spring / Spring Boot framework

· Knowledge of REST APIs and microservices architecture

· Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL)

· Understanding of object-oriented design principles (OOP)

· Experience with version control (Git)

· Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with Hibernate/JPA

· Knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines

· Exposure to Apache Kafka or messaging systems

· Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
