We are looking for mid to entirety level Heavy Equipment Operators to work with our crews building bridges, dams, boat ramps, roads, and boardwalks throughout the State of WI. Work week is Monday through Friday afternoon. $100.00 per day per diem for locations over 30 miles from Janke General Office in Athens WI., Monday through Thursday. We offer Company paid heath insurance and life insurance . We also provide disability, dental, vision insurance. Along with a 401K matching percentage. Room for advancement.
Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment
Overview:OperatorTier4isresponsibleforexecutingcriticalprojecttasks,managingtheoperationofspecializedequipment,troubleshootingcomplexissues,andcollaboratingwithseniorsite personnelonoperationalstrategies.Inaddition,OperatorTier4isaccountableforthe developmentandtrainingofOperatorsTiers1-3.
RolesandResponsibilities:
- Advanced Equipment Operation: Efficiently operate assigned equipment. All the previously mentioned tier with the added all company owned specially equipment.
- LeadershipandTraining:Train,mentor,andoverseeTier1-3operatorsinsafeand electiveequipmenthandling,promotingbestpracticesandenforcingsiteprotocolstomaintainhighstandardsofsafetyandquality.
- Material Handling: Load and transport materials and/or heavy equipment when necessary.
- Routine and Preventive Maintenance: Perform daily inspections of equipment, identify any mechanical issues, and communicate with the maintenance team for repairs and adjustments.
- SafetyProtocolsandCompliance:LeadbyexampleinadheringtoOSHAstandards,sitesafetyprotocols,andcompanypolicies;participateinsafetyauditsandriskassessments,identifyingandmitigatingpotentialhazardson-site.
- DocumentationandReporting:Maintaincomprehensivelogsofequipmentusage,maintenanceschedules,andincidentreports.Communicateelectivelywithsenior sitesupervisionandprojectmanagementregardingsiteoperationsandchallenges.
- AdvancedMaintenanceandTroubleshooting:Conductin-depthequipmentinspections,complextroubleshooting,andon-siterepairs.Collaboratewithequipmentmaintenanceteamsformajorrepairs,proactivelyaddressingpotentialissuesbeforetheyimpactprojecttimelines.
- OperationalLeadershipandStrategy:Workcloselywithseniorsitesupervisionand projectmanagementtodevelopefficientequipmentdeploymentstrategies,ensuringmaximumproductivityandminimaldowntime.
Qualifications:
- Certifications:Validandspecializedoperatorcertificationsforheavy-duty equipment,includinglargecranes,pavers,andspecializedexcavationmachinery.OSHAcertificationisrequired.
- TechnicalSkills:Proficiencyinoperatingabroadrangeofadvancedconstructionmachinery;expertiseinfinegradingandlarge-scaleexcavation.
- Physical Demands: Ability to work in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and mentoring. Ability to work electively in a team and coordinate with other site leadership.
