Maternal Fetal Medicine Attending Physicians

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is recruiting a Part-time Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) attending physician to join its team.  The MFM attending will provide specialized care for women with high-risk pregnancies, including those with chronic health problems or unexpected problems that arise during pregnancy

Wyckoff Heights Medical Center is a 220-bed teaching hospital located in a residential neighborhood directly on the border of northern Brooklyn and Western Queens. Responsibilities:

• Providing specialized care for women with high-risk pregnancies, including those with chronic health problems or unexpected problems that arise during pregnancy
• Performing prenatal tests, ultrasounds, and fetal procedures to monitor the health of the mother and fetus
• Diagnosing and treating fetal conditions in utero
• Coordinating care with other medical professionals, such as genetic counselors and neonatologists, as needed
• Providing care for women who experience complications during pregnancy or childbirth
• Educating patients and their families about potential risks and outcomes associated with high-risk pregnancies
• Conducting research to improve the health of mothers and babies
• Providing guidance on the genetic and congenital disorders of the fetus
• Assisting in complex surgical procedures like C-section, forceps or vacuum-assisted delivery
• Documenting patients’ medical history, treatment plans, and any observed changes

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or foreign equivalent
• Completion of three year post graduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in OB/GYN
• Completion of an accredited fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• Seeking both experienced and newly trained providers
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license.
• Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
• Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
• BLS or ACLS required.
• Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
• Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

• Three (3) years of experience working with a community clinic is highly desirable.
• Established leadership skills.

We offer an attractive salary, paid malpractice, generous paid time off program, CME days plus allowance, retirement benefits and a competitive benefit package. Compensation ranges from $230K to $310K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits). Eligibility for loan forgiveness. Visa candidates are considered.
