OPEN POSITIONS:

HEAD LIFEGUARD (1 Full Time) - $17.42/hour

Available Shifts: 

• • Full Time Position - 30 hours per week
  • Flexible work schedule + weekends 

ASSISTANT SWIM COACH (1) - $17.42/hour

Available Shifts: 

• • Part Time - Monday, Wednesday, Friday Evenings and Weekends

LIFEGUARDS – $16.43/hour

Available Shifts (between the hours of): 

• • Monday - Thursday  5:30am - 8:30pm
  • Friday  5:30am - 6:30pm
  • Saturday & Sunday  7:00am - 6:30pm

SWIM INSTRUCTORS – $16.43/hour

Available Shifts: 

• • Monday - Thursday  3:00pm - 7:30pm
  • Friday  3:30pm - 4:30pm
  • Saturdays  9:00am - 12:30pm

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (ALL POSITIONS):

• Minimum age of 16 or older (with valid NYS working papers for minors)
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness
• LIFEGUARDS: Must have a valid lifeguard certification(within 30 days of hire) and demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards
• Be able to pass the CDYMCA swim test, as administered by the Aquatic Director or designated individual
• Basic computer skills, with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to relate to diverse groups in the community
• Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen Administration(completed within 30 days of hire)
• New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Blood-borne Pathogens trainings(completed within 90 days of hire)
