We are currently seeking anAssistant Financial Controller to join our vibrant team. As the Assistant Financial Controller, you bring strong financial acumen, precision and reliability to our dynamic Finance Team, acting as the right hand to the Financial Controller. Your commitment to accuracy, compliance and team leadership will play a key role in supporting the financial success of our organization.

• Supports the smooth running of the accounting department, ensuring routine work is completed with regularity, quality and efficiency, and deputizing for the Financial Controller as required.
• Leads and supervises the Senior Accountant, Accountant, Cost Control Manager and Purchasing Manager, taking an active interest in their development, welfare and performance.
• Manages and oversees the month-end closing process, ensuring financials, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting are accurate and delivered on time.
• Reviews daily revenue reports, cost allocations and forecasts, keeping key stakeholders informed of performance against monthly targets.
• Prepares and reviews monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the Financial Controller, ownership entities and Board, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
• Ensures compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, including VAT and other lodgments, liaising with FRCS as required.
• Supports the Financial Controller in budgeting, forecasting, and preparation for internal and external audits.
• Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders, department heads and the wider finance team.

• Minimum 3-5 years' accounting experience in a similar senior role, with hotel or resort background strongly preferred.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CA/CPA (or working towards) preferred.
• Strong supervisory skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style, capable of leading and developing a team of accounting professionals.
• Accountable and takes ownership of outcomes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and follow-through across all areas of responsibility.
• Commitment to accuracy and reliability, with a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Sound working knowledge of financial systems (e.g. Sun System, SAP BPC) and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations to the Financial Controller and wider team.
• Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands precision, time and energy, and the readiness to step up in the Financial Controller's absenc
