Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Substance Abuse unit, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will play a critical role in developing and implementing individualized care plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and guiding support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

What You Will Do

• Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Identify and prioritize individualized patient needs based on assessments.
• Develop and implement written care plans, defining interventions and patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with caregivers to plan appropriate discharges or transfers.
• Coordinate patient care to ensure timely procedures, treatments, and referrals.
• Guide Unit Techs in providing care for assigned patients.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Michigan.
• Basic Life Support Provider certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 120 days of hire/transfer date.
• CPI certification within 120 days of employment and maintain current certification thereafter.
• Associates degree in Nursing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years work experience as a BSN, RN, or LPN.
• RN with some substance use understanding.
