Job Purpose

The Process Control System Specialist is responsible foradvanced technical support, optimization, and reliability of process control and automation systems. The role focuses on improving plant performance throughcontrol system analysis, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and implementation of advanced control strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert support forprocess control systems including DCS, PLC, and SCADA.

• Monitor and optimizeautomation and control system performance to improve plant efficiency and reliability.

• Conducttroubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system failures.

• Support implementation ofadvanced process control (APC) strategies and automation improvements.

• Participate incontrol system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.

• Ensure compliance withengineering standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

• Collaborate withoperations, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance system reliability and plant performance.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and technical teams when required.

Requirements

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree inElectrical Engineering / Instrumentation Engineering / Control Systems Engineering / Electronics Engineering or related field.

Experience:
Minimum10–12 years of experience inProcess Control Systems, preferably withinOil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Refinery industry.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience withDCS, PLC, and SCADA systems

• Knowledge ofadvanced process control (APC) and automation technologies

• Experience incontrol system troubleshooting, optimization, and reliability improvement

• Familiarity withinternational instrumentation and control engineering standards
