Job Description:
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall operation of the hotel including hiring, training, budgeting, sales, guest service and satisfaction, associate satisfaction, owner satisfaction, revenue management, and timely reporting. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.Â

- Complete all required brand specific trainingÂ
- Complete all required Vision University trainingÂ
- Complete all required health and safety trainingÂ
- Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group and property specific brand standardsÂ
- Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guestsÂ
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associateÂ
- Have a minimum of one year of previous hotel experience. AGM or operations management experience is preferredÂ
- Desire to operate a "best in class" hotelÂ
- Ensure all associate practices comply with Vision Hospitality Group policy and procedures, specific brand standards and legal requirementsÂ
- Set and implement an annual goals programÂ
- Monitor performance, develop and guide associates in their respective career pathsÂ
- Select, train, and direct department managers and other associates as neededÂ
- Keep associates well versed in all policies and procedures as pertain to Brand Standards and Vision Hospitality StandardsÂ
- Develop annual operating and capital budgetsÂ
- Comply with all Vision corporate accounting proceduresÂ
- Lead and actively participate in the hotel's Sales & Marketing effortÂ
- Assist in developing annual Marketing plansÂ
- Deliver exceptional guest service results measured through guest satisfaction scoring and social media sites such as Trip AdvisorÂ
- Inspect property on a regular basis and implement action plans regarding upgrading and/or maintaining the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of the hotel Â
- Have excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills Â
Necessary Skills:
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.
- Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
- Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
- Have dependable transportation available
- Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
- Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
- Is organized, honest, work well with others, and have an outgoing personality
- Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
- Has the highest degree of integrity and is humble, living by the Golden Rule
- Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

- Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 poundsÂ
- Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environmentÂ

- Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladderÂ
- Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hoursÂ
- Must be able to handle heat and stressÂ
- Have finger dexterity for operating equipmentÂ
- Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand EnglishÂ
