Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Social Media to lead the development and execution of its global social media strategy. This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, and customer acquisition across multiple international markets.

The successful candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, managing both internal teams and external agencies while identifying innovative growth opportunities in a highly competitive and regulated digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global social media strategy across all major platforms.

  • Drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and audience engagement.

  • Identify emerging trends and implement innovative social media initiatives.

  • Develop social listening strategies to monitor brand sentiment and market trends.

Content & Campaign Management

  • Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging social media content.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all social channels.

  • Support integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with Marketing, CRM, Product, and Branding teams.

  • Manage influencer partnerships and external collaborations.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Social Media team.

  • Manage relationships with external agencies and third-party partners.

  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment.

  • Allocate resources and manage the social media budget effectively.

Performance & Growth

  • Monitor campaign performance and key social media KPIs.

  • Analyse data and provide actionable insights to optimise performance.

  • Develop innovative growth strategies to increase reach, engagement, and market penetration.

  • Stay up to date with platform developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Social Media Marketing.

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a social media team.

  • Proven track record of delivering successful social media strategies with measurable commercial impact.

  • Experience managing multiple social media platforms across international markets.

  • Strong understanding of content creation, community management, paid social advertising, and social media analytics.

  • Experience managing external agencies and third-party partners.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring campaign performance and ROI.

  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative social media campaigns.

  • Experience operating within regulated or highly competitive digital industries will be considered an advantage.
