SAP Techno-Functional Solution Lead

Location: Columbus, OH or Merrillville, IN
Work Schedule: Hybrid – Monday & Friday remote; Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday onsite
Contract: 6 months Contract-to-Hire

About the Role

We are seeking an experiencedSAP Techno-Functional Solution Lead to support SAP solution delivery across Meter-to-Cash (M2C), Customer Service, and related SAP processes.

The role will focus ontechno-functional design, solution oversight, fit-gap analysis, testing, integration, and delivery coordination across SAP and third-party teams. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP/Integration Suite, SAP Service Cloud, and enterprise SAP implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end SAP functional oversight forMeter-to-Cash (M2C) and Customer Service processes, including SAP S/4HANA Utilities and SAP Service Cloud.
• Oversee SAP applicationdesign, configuration, customization, and integration based on business requirements.
• Work closely with NiSource and third-party teams to ensure successful SAP solution delivery.
• OverseeRICEFW development, including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows.
• Ensure RICEFW delivery is aligned with overall program requirements and properly traceable.
• Guideunit, SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing for SAP components.
• Review and ensure proper documentation of test cases and results using tools such asJira and qTest.
• Coordinate with vendors and third-party service providers on SAP installation, configuration, integration, and delivery activities.
• Supportdeployment, cutover, and hypercare activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to operational teams and managed service providers.
• Ensure SAP security roles, access models, and compliance requirements are properly designed, implemented, and tested.
• Support SAP-standardDevSecOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, unit test coverage, and security analysis.
• Facilitate collaboration between SAP workstreams and related systems, includingidentity and access management solutions.
• Establish and support SAP monitoring for error handling, performance, and abnormal usage.
• Participate in program governance, status reporting, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Performbest-practice reviews and fit-gap analysis to determine when SAP standard functionality can be used versus when customization is required.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum7 years of SAP solution delivery experience, including design, configuration, development, integration, and testing.
• Strong experience working incomplex, multi-vendor enterprise SAP environments.
• Strong functional knowledge of:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP Service Cloud
  • SAP BTP / Integration Suite
  • SAP Fiori
  • Related SAP products
• Experience in one or more specialized SAP areas, such as:
  • FICA
  • Billing
  • Regulatory
  • C4C
• Experience with integration technologies, includingRESTful APIs and middleware platforms.
• Experience with SAP testing activities, includingunit testing, SIT, UAT, regression, and performance testing.
• Understanding of SAP security models,SAP GRC Access Control, and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity withDevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code-quality tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States throughU.S. citizenship or Green Card.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAP certifications such asSAP Certified Associate or SAP Certified Professional.
• Experience inutility or energy industry digital transformation programs.
• Experience integrating non-SAP products with SAP, includingMuleSoft, API architectures, and IAM tools.
• Familiarity withSAP Analytics Cloud and SAP Business Data Cloud.
• Experience with AI-powered SAP tools such asJoule.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to utilities and customer data privacy.
• Experience with enterprisedata migration and master data management in SAP environments.
• Knowledge of people enablement and change management related to SAP adoption.
• Experience withJira, qTest, or similar project and test management tools.
