Opportunity for an organised and proactive Executive Assistant to support our Deputy Chief Executive - Māori Health & Engagement and play a key role in advancing our commitment to Māori health equity and engagement across Aotearoa.

This pivotal role provides high-level administrative and executive support, ensuring the smooth operation of a busy and strategically important portfolio. You'll manage diaries, coordinate meetings and events, prepare communications, and act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Working closely with the DCE, you'll support initiatives that contribute to achieving Māori health equity, strengthening iwi and community engagement, and advancing our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

With a focus on professionalism, discretion, and relationship management, you'll help navigate competing priorities while contributing to the meaningful work of improving outcomes for Māori across Aotearoa.

This a permanent part time position working Monday – Wednesday, 8.30am – 5pm.

You're an experienced Executive Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident managing multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism. Your exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to exercise sound judgement are complemented by your strong communication and relationship-building abilities.

You'll bring a genuine understanding of Te Ao Māori, strong understanding of iwi and Māori stakeholder engagement and relationships, Māori health and wellbeing, and the importance of achieving equitable outcomes for Māori. You have a passion for supporting initiatives that strengthen Māori engagement and empower communities, underpinned by a genuine commitment to tikanga Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and advancing meaningful and equitable outcomes for Māori.

Technically proficient and highly organised, you're comfortable using Microsoft Office and managing complex schedules, meetings, travel arrangements, and correspondence. Most importantly, you'll bring cultural awareness, humility, and a collaborative approach, enabling you to build trusted relationships and provide exceptional support within a kaupapa-driven environment.
