part-off opertor

Summary:

Safely set up and operate the part-off machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.  Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.  Works under immediate supervision.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:     

• Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures
• Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked
• Set up and maintain part-off machine
• Safely operate part-off machine as assigned by line lead, team leader, supervisor, or manager.
• Required to maintain quality standards on all products
• Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, line lead, team leader, supervisor, and manager
• Adhere to ISO 9001, Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements
• Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
• Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures
• Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation
• Maintain thread quality at all times
• Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation
• Check parts dimensionally with calipers and measuring tools to maintain engineering drawing tolerances
• Perform other tasks as assigned
• Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment
• Mechanical skills; must be able to operate and set up machinery

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent to it, desired

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

• Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. in a safe manner
• Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time
• Exposure to heavy equipment or components needed to produce product (safety toed shoes required)
• Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required)
• Must be able to perform repetitive motion.  Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time
• Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required)
• Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts
