Senior SAP IS-U CCS Billing & Invoicing Consultant

We are seeking a Senior SAP IS-U CCS Billing & Invoicing Consultant to work on projects and AMS support within the electric energy/utilities sector, focusing on billing processes, calculation, invoice generation, system improvements, and functional/technical support. The professional must possess solid experience in SAP IS-U / CCS, particularly in Billing & Invoicing, with the ability to work autonomously on demand analysis, configuration, functional specifications, technical support, ABAP debugging, testing, incident resolution, and the implementation of improvements. This position requires a senior, hands-on profile—someone ready to hit the ground running—with both functional and technical insight into SAP processes for energy utility companies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior-level consultant specializing in SAP IS-U CCS Billing & Invoicing
• Carry out analysis, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of billing processes within SAP IS-U
• Contribute to AMS support activities, evolutionary and corrective enhancements, and projects tied to the utilities commercial cycle
• Define specifications, configure system settings, and supervise improvements across the SAP IS-U landscape
• Deliver technical support for developments, adjustments, and fixes in SAP ABAP as required
• Perform functional and technical investigation of incidents, billing discrepancies, data inconsistencies, and integration breakdowns
• Support both individual and mass billing runs, including re-billing, cancellations, reversals, and invoice simulation scenarios
• Examine billing rules, calculation schemas, tariff structures, taxes, charges, subsidies, and other regulatory elements
• Prepare functional specifications for ABAP developments, interfaces, reports, forms, and system enhancements, and perform ABAP debugging to trace the root cause of functional problems
• Configure and maintain processes spanning billing, invoicing, meter reading, device management, contract accounts, mass billing runs, document reprocessing, and invoice generation and printing
• Work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, ABAP developers, integration specialists, and teams from other SAP modules
• Take part in unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing with key users, and post-go-live production support
• Assist with critical period-end closing routines, billing cycle execution, and handling of exceptions
• Help develop and maintain functional, technical, and operational documentation for solutions that have been implemented

Requirements

• A minimum of three years of hands-on experience working as an SAP IS-U CCS consultant with a focus on Billing & Invoicing
• Previous experience gained within the electric power, utilities, or utility concessionaire industries
• Strong understanding of utility commercial processes, covering meter reading, metering, consumption calculation, billing, and bill issuance
• Background working in SAP AMS/support settings, managing incidents, enhancements, fixes, and evolutionary change requests
• Familiarity with SAP IS-U configuration and customizing as it relates to billing functions
• Capability to diagnose and resolve intricate billing problems within a live production environment
• Hands-on experience drafting functional specifications intended for ABAP development work
• Working knowledge of SAP ABAP sufficient for debugging, technical analysis, and supporting the resolution of errors
• Skill in interpreting business requirements and converting them into effective SAP-based solutions
• Experience conducting functional testing, integration testing, and confirming fixes function correctly in production
• Solid understanding of the core objects and processes within SAP IS-U CCS
• Self-directed, analytically minded professional comfortable engaging directly with key users and technical teams
• English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher
