Job Description 

This role will bebasedin one of ourCork sites.The Lean & Continuous Improvement (CI) team at Stryker is focused on driving operational excellenceby improving processes,eliminating waste, and enhancing overall performance across the organization. We applyLean principles and structured problem-solving methodologies to ensure our processes are efficient, scalable, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes for our customers and patients. 

Our work involves partnering withcross-functional teams toidentify opportunities for improvement, streamline workflows, and reduce variability. We lead and support initiatives such asprocess mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen events, and standard work development.Byleveraging data and performance metrics, we prioritize impactful projects and measure the success of improvements. 

Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s2027 Cooperative cohort.Tasks and responsibilities may include: 

 

  • Support the day-to-day execution ofLean and CIactivities while gaining hands-on experience in operational excellence practices.  

  • SupportingDaily Management Systems (DMS) andLeader Standard Work bymaintaining visual boards, tracking metrics, and ensuring consistent adherence to standard processes. 

  • Activelyparticipating in structuredproblem-solving efforts,assisting withdata collection,root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. 

  • Supportingthe pre-work, execution, and follow-up of Kaizen events and other Lean/CI initiatives, helping to coordinate activities, document improvements, and track action items to completion.  

  • Contributing to the visual management and reporting by developingclear, effective displays of performance and progress. 

  • All other duties as assigned 

 

What you will need: 

  • Currently completing an Irishor Northern Irishuniversity qualification inEngineering, Manufacturing or similar courses.

  • Must be able to analyze and correct complex testing and/or systems issues of a broad scope using independent judgment 

  • Honesty and integrity; mustcomply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies 

  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environment 

  • Is ateam player and capable of working as part of amulti-disciplined team 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsas well as a basic PC knowledge  

  • Available for either6, 9 or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Stryker

Ireland Pay Ranges:

  • Ireland: €30,000 EUR Annual
