Primary Function of Position:Ā 

The Sr. Final Quality Inspector will perform visual and functional inspections and will perform testing processes on in-house manufactured endoscopes.Ā Ā This position requires a team player to support quality screening for endoscopes by simulating functional use,Ā identifyingĀ potential quality issues, and working cross functionally with manufacturing and quality engineering teams toĀ identifyĀ issues prior to product release.Ā 

Roles and Responsibilities:Ā 

  • Conduct visual and functional inspection of endoscopes to QAP procedures or specifications and disposition based upon results.Ā Ā 

  • Perform simulated proceduresĀ utilizingĀ a surgical robotic system and accessories.Ā UseĀ testĀ equipment/fixturesĀ asĀ required.Ā Ā 

  • Detect and document functional and visual defects (non-conformities).

  • Document inspection results and error description in SAP.Ā 

  • Accurately record detailed observations of non-conformances in the Device History Records.Ā 

  • FollowĀ proceduresĀ forĀ productĀ non-conformancesĀ (NCR’s)Ā recordsĀ origination,Ā documentationĀ practicesĀ andĀ escalationĀ processes.Ā 

  • Handle productĀ in accordance withĀ procedures to prevent mix-ups,Ā damageĀ or other adverse effects.Ā 

  • Communicate inspection results toĀ appropriate personnelĀ and inform about deviation if necessary.Ā 

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:Ā 

  • Successfully completed higher technical education with at least 4 years of professional experience in the field of quality control/final inspection or similarĀ function.

  • Good visual abilities to detect imaging errors.Ā 

  • Strong awareness of quality and quality processes.Ā 

  • Good communicationĀ and documentation skills in English language.Ā 

  • Advanced knowledge of common MS Office products and ERP / Document Control Systems (preferably SAP/ACCS).Ā 

  • Ability to understand Medical Device QMS, Corporate DOP’s, quality assurance procedures (QAPs)Ā and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited, to ISO13485 desirable.Ā 

  • A pronounced awareness of quality,Ā orderĀ and cleanliness.Ā 

  • Ability to understand the basic material flow from the stock room to finished goods, Bill-of-Material structure, and cycle counting procedures.Ā 

  • Independent,Ā responsibleĀ and reliable way of working, combined with a distinct ability to work in a team environment and with cross-functional teams, flexibility, and a high willingness to learn.Ā 

  • Ability to work varying shifts.Ā 

  • Suitability to work in a clean room under ESD conditions as well as at microscope workstations.Ā

This position may be filled at a different job level than listed here depending on
business need and/or on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills.
Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
