Internal audit

Essential Job Functions:

• Plan and execute end-to-end Internal Audit assignments across various business processes.
• Conduct risk-based internal audits and identify key operational, financial, and compliance risks.
• Perform process walkthroughs and understand existing processes, controls, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Develop and review Risk & Control Matrices (RCMs).
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Perform control testing and identify control gaps, process weaknesses, and areas of non-compliance.
• Identify audit observations and perform root-cause analysis.
• Prepare clear and impactful Internal Audit Reports highlighting observations, risks, and recommendations.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to discuss findings and agree on remediation plans.
• Track and follow up on audit observations and management action plans.
• Support implementation and strengthening of internal controls and governance frameworks.
• Conduct audits across business processes including:
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
  • Order-to-Cash (O2C)
  • Record-to-Report (R2R)
  • Inventory Management
  • Procurement
  • Payroll
  • Revenue
  • Fixed Assets
  • Compliance
  • Other operational processes
• Assist in Internal Financial Controls (IFC) reviews and control assessments.
• Support risk assessments, audit planning activities, and preparation of audit documentation.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of audit assignments.
• Present audit findings, observations, and recommendations to senior stakeholders as required.

Qualifications:

• CA / Semi-Qualified CA / CA Finalist with 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Internal Audit, Risk Advisory, or Process Audits.
• Candidates from Big 4 firms, leading consulting organizations, or reputed CA firms will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk assessment methodologies, and control testing.
• Practical experience in preparing and reviewing Risk & Control Matrices (RCMs), audit working papers, and audit reports.
• Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple audit assignments and deliver within timelines.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Good to Have

• Experience with the COSO Framework.
• Exposure to SOX, IFC, or ICFR compliance reviews.
• Experience working in ERP environments such as SAP or Oracle.
• Exposure to Data Analytics or Audit Analytics tools.
• Experience working with multiple business functions and stakeholders.
