Business System Analyst

We are seeking an inquisitive Business System Analyst who has a continuous improvement mindset and loves creating system and reporting solutions to solve business problems. This role sits between the operational business, vendors and support functions. You will understand business challenges, analyse end-to-end processes and design practical, sustainable technology-enabled solutions.  

In this pivotal role, you will engage with stakeholders from across the business (internal and external) to uphold standards for compliance, information safety and security while supporting all functions to improve the quality of information that can be obtained from technology use to enable more effective and efficient decision making. 

What You’ll Lead and Drive in your role 

• Lead the development of an IT roadmap for Hearth  

• Build and maintain relationships with staff across all company functions 

• Build and maintain relationships with external IT providers, to enable efficient and effective use of software solutions. 

• Research and analyse existing business practices, processes and procedures to understand system use and work practices by the organisation 

• Lead workshops with users to formulate and document business requirements for changes, modifications, or report builds required 

• Lead the deployment of functional solutions, such as creating, adopting and implementing system test plans, which ensure acceptable quality and integrity of any system changes or reporting tools built 

• Act as a central reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in the system and reporting projects decision making process 

• Identify and evaluate inefficiencies and recommend optimal business practices, and system functionality and behaviour

• Understanding business use of systems  

• Internal and external stakeholder engagement & management 

• Development of an IT roadmap for Hearth 

• Managing any system updates or reporting builds and changes

Our Key Selection Criteria for the role 

• Experience in the disability sector and/or with Brevity (desirable but not essential) 

• High digital literacy and confidence learning new systems 

• Experience working with software vendors and third-party support providers.  

• Experience improving workflows, data quality and system configuration. 

• Experience developing process documentation, workflows and user guides for non-technical users. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ad management capabilities.   

• A strong customer service focus and continuous improvement mindset 

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.  
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and autonomously 

Mandatory requirements 

• Qualification in Business Systems, ICT or Business Administration 

• 3+ years experience supporting and administering business applications or enterprise systems.  

• NDIS Worker Screening Check or the willingness to obtain one 

• Working with Children Check or the willingness to obtain one 

• Australian working rights 

• Two professional references 

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team
