In this role, you will ensure patient health information is accurately documented, maintained, and securely managed throughout its lifecycle to support care delivery, compliance, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
Maintain, organize, and updatepatient medical records in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and document management systems.
Review incoming medical documentation (e.g., test results, physician notes, referrals) for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Process requests for patient medical records from patients, providers, and authorized third parties in accordance withHIPAA and applicable privacy laws.
Assist healthcare providers by ensuring all relevant documentation is easily accessible and appropriately filed.
Monitor, audit, and reconcile medical records to supportquality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support accurate and efficient healthcare operations through reliable records management and compliance practices.
Requirements
Prior experience or strong understanding of medical records management or health information systems is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and document management tools.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple responsibilities, and work independently in a remote environment.
Strong commitment to accuracy and integrity in recordkeeping and data management.
