Key Responsibilities:

Health & Nutrition Technical Expertise and External Engagement

Contract:Partime-18.25 hrs per week

Location: Milton Keynes Office -Hybrid working

Salary: £22,781 – £24,187 equivalent FTE £45,563 – £48,375 depending in experience

  • Serve as WVUK's health and nutrition technical focal point for institutional funding and programme quality matters.
  • Maintain and share knowledge of global evidence, emerging trends, donor priorities and best practice in health and nutrition programming.
  • Represent World Vision in donor, technical, partner and sector coordination forums.
  • Support country teams to align programme approaches with technical standards, national priorities and donor strategies.
  • Promote technical learning and the application of evidence across health and nutrition portfolios.

Funding Opportunity Identification and Pre-Positioning

  • Identify and assess institutional funding opportunities relevant to World Vision's health and nutrition portfolio.
  • Support donor engagement and pre-positioning activities that strengthen World Vision's competitiveness for future opportunities, including developing and maintaining relationships with relevant donors and partners
  • Contribute to go/no-go assessments, opportunity analysis and bid planning processes.
  • Develop technical content for capability statements, concept papers and positioning materials.
  • Work with National Offices to identify evidence, learning and programme achievements that strengthen future funding opportunities. 
  • Help position World Vision as a credible and valued technical partner for institutional donor opportunities.
  • Promote collaborative and equitable partnership approaches, including the meaningful engagement of local organisations.

Proposal Development and Technical Design

  • Lead health and nutrition technical inputs into institutional donor proposals and bids.
  • Contribute to the design of high-quality, evidence-based programmes that respond to donor requirements and community needs.
  • Develop and review technical approaches, theories of change, log frames, indicators and results frameworks.
  • Ensure programme designs are technically sound, contextually appropriate and informed by evidence and learning.
  • Support the integration of gender, disability and social inclusion, safeguarding, sustainability and community accountability considerations into programme design.
  • Review proposal documents to ensure consistency across technical narratives, budgets, log frames and supporting documentation.
  • Contribute to achieving agreed institutional funding targets through the development of competitive and high-quality submissions. 

Programme Quality Support and Technical Assurance

  • Provide technical advice and support to health and nutrition programmes funded by institutional donors.
  • Contribute to programme quality assurance by reviewing technical approaches, workplans, performance data and programme documentation.
  • Help identify technical risks, implementation challenges and opportunities for programme improvement.
  • Promote learning and exchange of good practice across programmes and countries. Contribute specialist health and nutrition inputs to programme reviews, evaluations and learning exercises as required.

Donor Reporting, Learning and Knowledge Management

  • Provide technical review and quality assurance of health and nutrition content within donor reports and programme performance updates.
  • Support National Offices to ensure reporting demonstrates progress against agreed outcomes, indicators and donor requirements.
  • Work with MEAL colleagues to interpret programme evidence and strengthen reporting on impact and results.
  • Develop and share technical resources, case studies and evidence summaries that support organisational learning and donor engagement
