This role dedicated to supporting the U.S. Census Bureau’s enterprise data collection and survey systems. This position is to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams. You will act as the technical requirements owner. This requires translating complex survey business logic into actionable development tasks. Â

Mojo Business Analyst - Survey onboarding requirements and engagementÂ
Â
- Gather and document functional and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshopsÂ
- Produce detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria and traceability to business objectivesÂ
- Write and maintain SQL queries to validate data accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and support analysisÂ
- Inspect and analyze JSON/API payloads to verify system integrations and data exchangesÂ
- Map current and future-state business processes and identify gaps or inefficienciesÂ
- Debug and trace end-to-end workflows to isolate root causes of system or process failuresÂ
- Maintain backlog, defects, and change requests using GitHub Issues or equivalent toolsÂ
- Create interface documentation, data dictionaries, and integration specificationsÂ
- Coordinate UAT testing, capture results, and validate that requirements are metÂ
- Publish stakeholder communications, release notes, and requirement updates for each deploymentÂ
- 5+ years’ experience performing business and systems analysis for enterprise software or data platformsÂ
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, validating, and troubleshooting relational datasetsÂ
- Working knowledge of JSON structures for inspecting APIs, payloads, and message-based integrationsÂ
- Demonstrated ability to debug and analyze end-to-end business processes across multiple systemsÂ
- Experience eliciting, documenting, and validating functional and technical requirements with stakeholdersÂ
- Proven experience translating business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flowsÂ
- Proficiency using GitHub Issues (or similar tools) for backlog tracking, defects, and change managementÂ
- Ability to facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement walkthroughsÂ
- Experience analyzing logs, reports, and system outputs to identify root causes and gapsÂ
- Strong written documentation skills for requirements, workflows, and integration specificationsÂ
