Typical Tasks and Responsibilities
- Support and maintainKubernetes cluster configurations, ensuring availability and performance for geographically aligned engineering teams and participating in structured handovers when required
- Own and evolveTerraform‑based infrastructure, including state management, reviews, and best practices
- Coordinate and executeproduction deployments in partnership with development teams
- Maintain and improveCI/CD environments, including pipeline upgrades and reliability enhancements
- Plan and executeKubernetes cluster upgrades, identifying and mitigating compatibility risks
- Rotate and manageSSL certificates, service accounts, and IAM permissions
- AdministerCloudFront distributions, including configuration, monitoring, and optimization
- Track and reportDevOps operational metrics such as release frequency, lead time, failure rates, and mean time to recovery
- Troubleshootinfrastructure, networking, and deployment issues across cloud environments
- Continuously improveplatform reliability, security posture, and operational efficiency
Responsibilities:
- Leading the implementation of processes, tools, and methodologies to balance needs throughout the software development life cycle
- Optimizing the development process to bridge gaps between software development, engineering, and management
- Striving for continuous improvement by building and enhancing continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Driving the creation of automated processes to minimize the time from commit to production
- Serving as a key liaison between development and operations teams to enable rapid product development
- Increasing customer responsiveness by monitoring and optimizing application performance
- Ensuring the creation of stable, deployable, and scalable operating environments through continuous infrastructure development
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of development processes and programming languages
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
