Job Role: Digital E-commerce Assistant
Compensation range: $1,500 - $2,500 AUD/month
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Role Overview: We're looking for a creative, organised and proactive Marketing Assistant to support our day-to-day marketing activities. This is a hands-on, junior-to-mid-level role where you'll work closely with our Marketing Executive, supporting everything from content creation and copywriting to website updates, CRO, and digital marketing initiatives. A genuine interest in interior design, furniture and homewares is highly preferred, as you'll help bring our brand and products to life across multiple marketing channels.
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Optimise website product pages, collection pages and landing pages to improve user experience and conversions.
- Assist with website updates, content changes and functionality improvements within Shopify.
- Support basic website development tasks using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify Liquid.
- Assist with Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve website performance.
- Support Google Ads and SEO activities, including campaign optimisation and search visibility improvements.
- Create engaging social media content across multiple platforms.
- Respond to direct messages, comments and engage with our online community.
- Assist with EDM campaigns, automated email flows and campaign reporting in Klaviyo.
- Create AI-generated product imagery.
- Optimise website product pages, collection pages and landing pages for conversions.
- Write compelling copy for social media, email marketing, website content and digital advertising.
- Assist with planning and executing marketing campaigns, product launches, sales promotions and customer engagement initiatives.
- Support the Marketing Executive with day-to-day projects and administrative tasks.
- Monitor marketing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Experience with Shopify
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Shopify Liquid.
- Experience making website edits and implementing basic functionality updates.
- Understanding of Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) principles.
- Exposure to Google Ads and SEO.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt content across different channels.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the Marketing Executive.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute to both strategic and day-to-day marketing tasks.
- Experience using Canva to create high-quality marketing assets.
- Experience with CapCut for editing short-form video content.
- Experience using Meta Business Suite.
- Familiarity with Klaviyo email marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with strong project management and time management skills.
- Creative mindset with an eye for design and detail.
- Passion for storytelling and creating content that connects with customers.
- A genuine love for interior design, furniture and homewares, with an eye for current trends and styling.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Photo editing skills are highly regarded

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement.
