As a Senior Marketing Data Product Owner, you’ll support the development and optimization of marketing data products that enable marketing teams to deliver personalized, effective campaigns across Humana's lines of business. You’ll help translate business needs into product features and user stories to ensure data solutions are scalable and impactful.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of data, technology, and marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in product ownership, product management, or a related role within a data-driven or marketing technology environment.

Role ResponsibilitiesÂ
You’ll manage the lifecycle ofdata products that support marketing initiatives, customer acquisition, member identification and profile management, and patient onboarding, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.Â

Key responsibilities include:Â
Define and Prioritize Product RequirementsÂ
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define product features.Â
Translate strategies, campaign needs, and lifecycle touchpoints into clear, actionable product requirements.Â
Ensure requirements support segmentation, targeting, measurement, and growth across all channels.Â
Own the Product Roadmap and BacklogÂ
Develop andmaintain a strategic roadmap related tooperational and regulatory requirements, customer acquisition,member identification and profile management,andpatient onboarding, engagement, retention, and satisfaction. Manage and prioritize the product backlog to align with evolving business goals and operational excellence.Â
Write andmodify SQL queries to support data validation, product performance analysis, and collaboration with analytics teams.Â
Lead Agile Delivery and ExecutionÂ
Serve as the primary liaison for Agile delivery teams,facilitating sprint planning, PI planning, and backlogrefinement.Â
Drive velocity tracking and ensuretimely updates on progress, blockers, and delivery milestones.Â
Validate requirements, accept completed work, and ensure deliverables meet defined acceptance criteria.Â
Collaborate Across FunctionsÂ
Partner with engineering, analytics, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions.Â
Work with upstream systems and vendors to ensure product requirements are represented during modernization efforts.Â
Collaborate closely with testing and development teams to confirm that features are testedappropriately and quality standards are met before release.Â
Monitor Product PerformanceÂ
Track usage, adoption, and performance metrics toidentify areas for improvement and optimization.Â
Act as the first line of defense for operational issues related toMarketing Data Products.Â
Governance and Financial StewardshipÂ
Manage Lean business cases and IT proformas, including Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and value realization for data products.Â
Ensure consistency and accuracy in IT tools and reporting systems to support transparency and accountability.Â
Ensure solutionscomply with relevant regulatory and legal standards.Â
Documentation and EnablementÂ
Create andmaintain comprehensive documentation including product features, user stories, workflows, and user guides to support internal enablement and stakeholder alignment.Â

Required:Â
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics, ora related field. Or, 8 years of related experience without a degree. Â
3–5 years of experience in product ownership, product management, or a related role within adata-driven or marketing technology environment.Â
Proven experience working inAgile frameworks (e.g., Scrum,SAFe), including writing userstories, sprint planning, backlogrefinement, and PI planning.Â
Demonstrated ability totranslate business strategies into technical requirements, product features, user stories, and test cases.Â
Experience managingproduct roadmaps, backlogs, andvelocity tracking.Â
Familiarity withdata platforms, analytics tools, and marketing automation systems.Â
Excellentcommunication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across engineering, analytics, and business teams.Â
Strongproblem-solving skills and ability to act as a first responder for operational issues.Â
Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write andmodify queries to support data validation, product performance analysis, and collaboration with analytics teams.Â
Preferred:Â
Master’s degree in a relevant field or MBA with a focus on marketing or technology.Â
Strong understanding ofmarketing data ecosystems, including segmentation, targeting, and campaign measurement.Â
Experience withLean business case development and managingTotal Cost of Ownership (TCO) for data products.Â
Prior experience working withenterprise-level marketing IT systems and vendor-managed solutions.Â
Knowledge ofcustomer lifecycle management and growth strategies across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and retention.Â
Familiarity withJIRA,Confluence,Azure Dev Ops, or similar Agile project management tools.Â
Experience inmodernizing legacy systems or integrating upstream data sources into scalable platforms.Â
Experience with data user story acceptance testing and post-production validation.Â
Experience with Data BricksÂ
Certification inAgile Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO,SAFe POPM) or related disciplines.Â
Experiencewithhealthcare data.Â

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
