Scope of Position 

Under the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with other technicians, the Pharmacy TechnicianApprenticeisresponsible for packaging, preparation, and distribution of medications, inventory control, customerservice and maintaining pharmacy records.TheTechnician must comply with all rules and regulations of the hospital and pharmacy department. Mustmaintain registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician Trainee through anOhio Public High School Approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program. 

Position Summary 

This position functions toassist the licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patientsandnecessary services and information to nursing and medical staff. These services include preparation and packaging of medications; distribution of medications, supplies, and equipment;maintaining proper inventory levels; ensuring medications arein date and secure;andkeepingappropriate records and documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire:Registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician Trainee through anOhio Public High School Approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Must be at least 17 years of age.
