Weekend Supervisor – Elevate Your Career While Making a Meaningful Impact!

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Weekend Care Supervisor to join our team based over our three Shropshire offices at –Home Instead Newport,Bridgnorth and Church Stretton.As a Weekend Care Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of care for our clients during weekend hours.

Work Schedule

Weekend Office Hours:

  • WorkSaturday and Sunday from9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day.
  • Attend aFriday handover meeting at4:00 PMand provide aMonday morning handover at9:00 AM.

Out-of-Hours Coverage:

  • Hold the out-of-hours phone on Friday, Saturday, andSunday evenings to provide support as needed.
  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of person-centred care to clients during weekend shifts.
  • Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance and mentorship as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant care regulations and standards.
  • Manage staff rotas and allocate duties effectively.
  • Conduct regular assessments and update care plans as required.
  • Liaise with clients families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete necessary documentation.
  • Participate in staff training and development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of care services.
  • Proven experience in care supervision or management.
  • NVQ Level 2  in Health and Social Care, and willing to work towards your Level 3.
  • Strong leadership and management skills .
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in time management and organisational skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of care regulations and standards.
  • Understanding of person-centred care principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and care planning processes.
  • Empathetic and supportive approach .
  • Good IT skills.
