A Home Instead CAREGiver is a kind and friendly person, totally reliable, and compassionate with excellent communication skills. You will be working in a person's home, however the whole team provide support to you and the client. We are looking for someone who is happy to learn, contribute to the team, and can work under pressure when needed and will enjoy the rewards and responsibility.Ā Ā 

A carer or personal assistant, provides the highest quality care. The primary responsibilities includeĀ Ā Ā 

  • Maintaining a professional and friendly relationship with our client, their family, friends and others involved with their health and well-beingĀ Ā 

  • Personal Care – supporting with washing, dressing, grooming, continence care.Ā 

  • Companionship – conversation and good company - assist with writing lettersenjoying a chatĀ Ā 

  • Activities –  accompanying tooutings and social events, and encourage hobbies and pastimesĀ Ā 

  • Plan, prepare and cook nutritious food - rediscovering favourite family recipesĀ 

  • Medication –collecting prescriptions, medication remindersĀ 

  • Home help such as light housekeeping – ensuring their home is safe, tidy and spotlessĀ 

  • Shopping, run errands and accompanying to appointmentsĀ 

  • Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client's quality of lifeĀ Ā 

Care experience is required for this 30 hour a week position, but we will also provide full paid training so even if it has been a while since you worked in care or nursing, you will feel confident and well supported.Ā Your passion for taking care of someone else, being friendly whilst staying professional and your references will show that you are reliable, trustworthy and respectful. Our clients may need support with mealtimes including making a proper meal (baking a cake would definitely be an asset!)Ā Ā 

You will beover 18 -Ā  being acar driver is advantageous as many of our clients live in a rural location.Ā
