Care Assistant

AtHome Instead Leek & Moorlands we offer support to individuals living in their own home. We have a range of contracts at present that involve visiting clients inLeek and the surrounding area. We are looking for someone reliable, friendly and caring to make a difference to our clients' lives. You must have flexibility to workalternate weekends.No experience required - just a friendly personality and the right values.

At Home Instead we haveminimum 1-hour calls plus suitable travel time to ensure you are not rushed with clients, withmileage reimbursement. We work tomatch our Care Professionals and clients together somemorable connections can be established. All initial calls with a client who is new to you will be introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can reallyget to know your client and their needs.

Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Care Assistant:

• Perform household tasks such aslight cleaning, laundry and tidying.
• Make, or assist to make your client's favouritemeals.
• Offer companionship and social support, engaging with your client'shobbies and getting to know them.
• Support withpersonal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
• Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. thelocal shops or a café.
• Ensure transparentcommunication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care andcomfort.
• Writeaccurate daily notes, keeping up strong communication with the office.
• Administermedication and record appropriately.

Requirements:

• Experience is not required; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
• You must have a fulldriver's licence anddependable transportation for various duties.
• You must bereliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• Must have acaring, friendly personality.
