DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crown’s Beverage Division manufactures a variety of packaging solutions for soft drinks, craft beers, coffees and teas as well as new energy drinks. Crown Beverage leads the packaging industry with innovative technologies that redefine how the world looks at beverage cans. With a large printable surface area and a wide range of sizes, shapes and decorating options, our aluminum cans are the perfect packaging format to create compelling brand presence where it counts. LOCATION:Â Nichols NY
- We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 to $85,000
- *Actual salary will be determined based on skill and experience level*
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Coordinator’s role will be to support all Human Resources, Employee Relations and related administrative functions for the Plant.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Coordinator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
- On the floor interactions with employees on all shifts, responding to employees’ issues/concerns in support of a positive employee relations’ environment
- Payroll processing
- Benefits administration and coordination of medical coverage and questions with Corporate Insurance
- HRIS system administration including payroll issues, employee data input, daily attendance, and other related areas
- Talent Acquisition - sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, background screening and reference checks
- Maintenance of employee files and records
- Ensure compliance with government filings (I-9, FMLA) and postings
- Administering the plants Affirmative Action Plan
- Conduct New Hire Orientation/Onboarding
- Administering Training
- Coordination of FMLA, Workers Comp and other related leave issues
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues
- Process employment requisitions, change notices, and tuition reimbursements
- Support the Health & Safety initiatives for the Plant.
- Assist in the coordination of employee communications and meetings to keep employees informed
- Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements
In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Minimum Requirements
- Associates Degree in HR or related discipline; PHR certification a plus
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in employee relations, benefits and payroll administration
- Thorough understanding of federal, state and local employment laws
- Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- May occasionally need to work evening and weekend hours to support shifts
Preferred Requirements
- Professional certification
- AS400 experience

Working Conditions
- Generally works in an office setting but will be required to perform some job duties inside a plant environment.
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
- The noise level is frequently loud when in manufacturing.
