In this role, you will providepreāsales technical expertise to support the sales organization and contribute directly to the success of substation solutions likeSTATCOM, E-STATCOM, Fixed or Thyristor-Controlled Series Capacitors, Battery Energy Storage Solutions, Synchronous Compensators, and other Substation solutions for transmission applications. You will bring deep technical knowledge in a focused product line and collaborate across teams to deliver optimized, customerācentric solutions throughout the sales and tendering process. This position may also include ongoing customer support, ensuring longāterm value from commissioned systems.

- Build and maintain longāterm relationships with customers and key stakeholders to understand needs and deliver valueādriven solutions
- Support sales through technical expertise, presentations, and inādepth product demonstrations
- Contribute to efficient marketing activities and articulate strong technical value propositions
- Collaborate closely with customers, ISOs, consultants, and internal stakeholders throughout the sales process
- Act as technical coordinator for tenders and remain accountable for the technical solution
- Identify optimized technical solutions by working across the global Hitachi Energy FACTS network
- Create added value by leveraging experience from installed projects and innovation initiatives
- Support and participate in conferences, seminars, publications, and marketāfacing events
Your background
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Power Systems
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in solution design during tender or project working in FACTS or Substation Solutions.
- Authorization to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
- Extensive experience with FACTS system design, analysis, simulations, and calculations
- Handsāon knowledge of tools such as PSSE, PSCAD/EMTDC, RTDS, and similar platforms
- Experience with VSCābased converter technologies and MACHĀ® control systems
- Background in commissioning, site testing, and routine or type testing of main components
- Strong ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and complex technical interfaces
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and willingness to travel up to 40ā50% across NAM
