The opportunity

Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity as a Service Sales Support Specialistwithin our HC Service Team based in Staffordshire. You'll support the local Sales Manager in determining the most appropriate and cost-effective solution and assist with the preparation of tender documents, contributing and driving the overall growth of the Hitachi Energy volume within Power Service by increasing our existing customer portfolio as well as creating new business opportunities.

In this key role, you will integrate into the wider Service Sales Team and other Hitachi Energy business areas developing cross business opportunities. Engaging with our key customers about their expectations of service and products. Being responsive to customer requests, you'll provides clear, precise quotations to a high-quality specification and whilst growing and retain key customer relationships.

How you'll make an impact

  • Prepare/support preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements.
  • Analyze project requirements with the Project Manager, check that all essential work activities have been identified and produce a realistic project schedule.
  • Regularly reports the status of the bids/estimates/quotations using defined tools
  • Analysis of the surrounding reasons for tenders being lost and won.
  • Use Hitachi Energy installed management tool for analysis and business development opportunities.
  • Understand Customer Service principles and their effect on the business
  • Operate with a high level of customer engagement
  • Task scheduling to maintain customer timelines to achieve customer satisfaction in our service and products


Your background

  • Knowledge of the Hitachi Energy HV Products portfolio
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written and fluent in the English language
  • A strong background in the power sector
  • Demonstrate excellent customer focus
  • Good networking skills Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Planning/Scheduling skills with a methodical approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • UK Driving License required
