Responsibility:
- The selected candidate will be part of the Factory Engineering team for dry type transformer design.
- Lead and manage a team of electrical design engineers; prior team management experience is mandatory.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure quality and timely delivery of designs.
- Responsible for preparation and approval of electrical designs for submission to customers as per project schedules.
- Ensure generation of manufacturing drawings, purchase drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) in line with factory limitations, guidelines, and checklists.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, SCM) to resolve issues and establish standard guidelines.
- Drive alignment with HUB and global teams for special requirements and new implementations.
- Lead and participate in internal design reviews and cross-functional discussions for complex designs.
- Ensure timely resolution of shop floor issues by engaging with production teams.
- Monitor team performance, workload distribution, and adherence to project timelines.
Background
- Graduate in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in electrical design for dry type or oil-filled transformers manufacturing industry.
- Mandatory experience in leading and managing a team of engineers.
- Strong understanding of IS / IEC / CBIP / IEEE standards.
- In-depth knowledge of dry type transformer design.
- Experience in handling customer interactions and approvals will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of simulation tools and programming languages will be preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP tools is required.
- Strong communication skills in English (both oral and written) are essential.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global technical teams.
- Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
- Capability to drive team performance and meet project deadlines.
