The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy’s global R&D community as an R&D Senior Engineer and contribute to shaping the future of high‑voltage power systems. In this role, you will drive the development and optimization of oil‑insulated instrument transformers, supporting reliable and sustainable energy infrastructure worldwide. Working in a collaborative, international environment, you will combine technical expertise with innovation to deliver high‑impact solutions while continuously growing your skills within a dynamic engineering ecosystem.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Design and enhance oil‑insulated high‑voltage instrument transformers, including current, voltage, inductive, and combined types
- Provide technical support to global production and service teams, ensuring timely issue resolution and continuous improvement
- Lead small to medium scale product development projects, managing undirect resources, scope, timing, cost, and quality for assigned tasks
- Develop and maintain engineering tools, supporting users and improving design and process efficiency
- Analyze product performance data to drive design enhancements and innovation initiatives
- Collaborate with cross‑functional and international teams to align on technical solutions and project goals
- Coordinate stakeholders and ensure effective knowledge sharing across the organization
- Maintain high standards of documentation, technical communication, and engineering practices
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in design and testing of medium or high‑voltage equipment (preferably instrument transformers)
- Strong knowledge of oil insulation technology for high‑voltage applications
- Experience with CAD/3D modeling tools (e.g., PTC Creo) and PLM systems (preferably Windchill)
- Strong organizational, coordination, and basic project management skills
- Fluent in English and Polish, with excellent communication and documentation abilities
