The position is in the business unit High Voltage Direct Current, within the department of Automation & Communication engineering. The office for Global Project and Tender Management has around 20 Project Managers, mostly in Sweden but also in India, Continental Europe and North America.
Your Responsibilities
As Project Manager Engineering – Power Automation, you will be responsible for the overall coordination of all Automation related activities within your assigned projects, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective specification, procurement and supply in line with contractual, safety, and quality requirements. You will:
Represent the Automation supply scope in overall HVDC project
Participate in tender process from early stages to BAFO
Lead internal technology expertise in the interface between customer and sub-suppliers
Interact with sub-suppliers of comprehensive solutions, products and services
Engineering process leadership & coordination
Lead and coordinatemultidisciplinary engineering activities across the project lifecycle
Ensure engineering deliverables are developed withcomplete and integrated information
Allow for introduction ofinnovative technical solutions for complex project challenges
Coordinate design activities withsub-suppliers and other engineering areas impacting the Power Automation scope.
Planning & execution
Define and manageengineering scope, budgets, schedules, and risk assessments
Ensure effective allocation and coordination ofengineering resources (people, tools, equipment)
Set and follow up onproject KPIs within schedule, cost, and quality
FAT, construction & commissioning support
Support pre-shipping verification, installation, and commissioning by:
Arranging logistics and required participation by sub-suppliers and customer representatioves
Resolving technical issues
Providing solutions to engineering deviations
Provide back-officetechnical support during commissioning and start-up phases
Support the Project Director in claims related to:
Scope changes
Cost and time impact
Risk quantification and mitigation
Risk, business & stakeholder management
Identify, evaluate, and managerisks and opportunities across the project
Cultivate good working relationship with customer with a view torepeat and new business
Build strong relationships withcustomers, suppliers, contractors, and authorities
Drive continuous improvement and value creation within projects and portfolios
Leadership & complexity management
Define project tasks and ensure clear allocation within the project team
Coach and guide team members
Lead internal and sub-supplier experts incomplex problem-solving for large-scale, engineering heavy execution.
Operate with a high degree of autonomy, managing large projects or processes with limited oversight
Your Profile
Recognizedsubject matter expert within the Power Automation area (typically at Specialist / P4 level)
Strong experience managingcomplex engineering projects or processes
Proven ability to combinetechnical excellence with commercial understanding
Comfortable operating in large, multidisciplinary and international project environments
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
Conditions
The office is located in Sweden and according to a Swedish employment contract which necessitates a valid Work Permit/Residence. Applicable Swedish collective bargaining and company policy in Swedish language below.
