The opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Operations Director and play a key role in driving performance, innovation, and operational excellence in transformer production. This is an opportunity to lead a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and continuous improvement are at the core of everything we do.
In this role, you will oversee end-to-end operations within the production facility, ensuring efficient, cost-effective delivery while meeting customer expectations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and EHS to optimize performance and deliver results that matter.

How you’ll make an impact
Lead daily manufacturing operations aligned with the ITM Management System
Ensure delivery targets are met across safety, quality, and production goals
Optimize use of labor, equipment, and materials
Drive a zero-incident safety culture and promote HOP principles
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and A3
Enhance operational performance, including productivity, throughput, and OEE
Partner cross-functionally to meet customer and compliance requirements
Build and develop high-performing teams through coaching and accountability
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
12–16 years of relevant manufacturing or operations experience
Experience leading teams in a production environment
Strong background in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
Knowledge of quality and safety standards (IEEE, UL, CSA, ISO)
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
