The opportunity
Step into a high-impact leadership role as an Operations Manager at Hitachi Energy, where innovation meets operational excellence. In this role, you will lead all manufacturing operations within a transformer production facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective delivery aligned with customer expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence plant performance through lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with teams across Production, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and EHS to drive sustainable results and elevate operational standards.
Beyond day-to-day operations, you will play a key role in developing people, strengthening capabilities, and fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and growth. How you’ll make an impact
Lead daily manufacturing operations aligned with the ITM Management System
Deliver production targets across safety, quality, and delivery commitments
Optimize use of labor, materials, equipment, and manufacturing resources
Promote a zero-incident safety culture using HOP principles
Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and preventive action initiatives
Drive quality excellence and ensure compliance with customer and industry standards
Champion continuous improvement through tools such as Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and A3
Develop and coach teams to build capability and support long-term growth
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
12+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations leadership
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in a production environment
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with quality and regulatory standards (IEEE, UL, CSA, ISO)
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
