As our new Audit and Process Quality Manager you will lead and enhance our quality management systems and internal audit functions within Hitachi Energy, Grid Automation Europe. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, driving continuous improvement, and maintaining high standards across all operational processes.You will join a remote team situated in Europeand work closely with local teams.
To be successful in this role you have strong communication- presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
How you'll make an impact:
Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with relevant international standards and internal policies.
Plan, execute, and oversee internal and external audit programs, including system audits, process audits, and product audits, ensuring compliance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
Identify areas for process improvement through audit findings, data analysis, and stakeholder feedback, and drive the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in process optimization initiatives, applying lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles where appropriate.
Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
Manage the documentation and control of quality-related procedures, work instructions, and records.
Provide training and coaching to employees on quality management principles, audit methodologies, and process improvement tools.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external & internal regulations, procedures & guidelines.
Your Background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience in quality management, auditing, or process improvement roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining ISO 9001 certified quality management systems. Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001) is highly preferred.
Strong understanding and practical application of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, 8D problem solving).
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends & Self-driven, proactive, strategic mindset, strong communication and listening skills, able to work independently in a hybrid environment while collaborating effectively with remote teams.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Fluent in Italian or Swedish is a merit.
