Attention: 4 hrs of Billable Computer Modules are required 7 am the Friday prior to start. Modules are delivered Mon-Tues of the week prior to start. The 4 hrs should be added to the first weeks timesheet.
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the consistent production of high quality histological preparations. Duties include embedding, staining, microtomy, frozen microtomy and prepping specimens for reference lab testing.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process / Patient Safety Plan at Blessing Hospital.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training/Experience:
REQUIRED:
• Associate Degree and one-year instruction at a qualified ASCP hospital based program
PREFERRED:
• Three Years Experience
License/Certifications/Special Requirements:
HT (ASCP)
