Job Title: Python, Datastage Developer

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 Days WFO)

Duration: 06-12 Months

Hourly Pay Rate:53 CAD/hr.

Job Description:

Experienced Python DataStage Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/data integration solutions for banking applications. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, automating data processing, supporting regulatory and financial reporting, and ensuring data quality across enterprise systems. Experience with IBM DataStage, Python, SQL, and banking data is essential. Enterprise profiles also emphasize ETL development, data transformation, SQL optimization, and banking domain expertise.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered):

• Strong experience with IBM DataStage ETL development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Unix/Linux scripting.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing, ETL concepts, and Data Modeling.
• Experience with Oracle, DB2, Snowflake, or similar databases.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required):

• Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and version control tools (Git).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role):

• Design, develop, and support ETL workflows using IBM DataStage.
• Develop Python scripts for data ingestion, transformation, validation, and automation.
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Integrate data from multiple banking systems, including core banking, payments, loans, and regulatory reporting platforms.
• Perform data quality checks, reconciliation, and troubleshooting of production issues.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and compliance teams to deliver data solutions.
• Support batch processing, incident management, and change management activities.
• Ensure adherence to banking security, governance, and regulatory standards.
