About the Role

We are seeking aSenior Flight-Operations Satellite Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and optimization of advanced satellite operations for LEO and MEO missions. In this role, you will provide technical leadership across flight operations, systems engineering, and mission planning while supporting the development of automated satellite operations and next-generation space systems. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in satellite operations, systems engineering, modeling and simulation, and mission-critical aerospace programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, integration, and operation of satellite flight systems for LEO and MEO missions.
• Develop and enhance automated satellite operations and mission workflows.
• Define and support space and ground segment architecture, system integration, and operational concepts.
• Collaborate with flight software teams to support mission operations and system performance.
• Develop and maintain satellite database operations and telemetry management strategies.
• Create and utilize system models and simulation tools to validate mission performance.
• Develop automation scripts and engineering tools usingPython or other scripting languages.
• UtilizeMATLAB andAGI Systems Tool Kit (STK) to support mission analysis, modeling, and system validation.
• Mentor engineering teams and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inEngineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience supportingLEO and/or MEO satellite systems.
• Experience withautomated satellite operations, system design, and IoT technologies.
• Strong systems engineering experience in:
  • Space and ground segment design, specification, and integration
  • Flight software and its role in satellite operations
  • Satellite database operations
  • Telemetry structures and operational concepts
• Experience creating or utilizingmodels and simulation software.
• Proficiency inPython or other scripting languages.
• Working knowledge ofMATLAB.
• Experience usingAGI Systems Tool Kit (STK).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading complex satellite systems engineering or flight operations initiatives.
• Experience supporting end-to-end satellite mission planning and operations.
• Familiarity with commercial or government aerospace and space programs.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and technical mentoring skills.
