We are looking for aSenior Snowflake & Databricks Data Engineer to support aSnowflake-to-Databricks migration project. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with bothSnowflake and Databricks, with a proven background in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and modern data platforms.

You will be responsible for supporting data migration activities, building and optimizing data pipelines, implementing transformation logic, and ensuring reliable data processing across Snowflake and Databricks environments.

This is a remote contractor opportunity open to candidates based inany LATAM timezone.Spanish language proficiency is required.

Main Tasks

• SupportSnowflake-to-Databricks data migration activities
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines inSnowflake and Databricks
• Develop data ingestion and transformation processes from various sources
• Migrate and optimize existing data workflows, ETL processes, and transformation logic
• Build and maintain data transformations usingSQL, Python, dbt, and other data engineering tools
• Work withDatabricks technologies, including Apache Spark-based data processing
• Optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, cost efficiency, and maintainability
• Automate data workflows and orchestration processes using tools such asAirflow or similar technologies
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions
• Ensure data quality and reliability throughout migration and development processes

Requirements

• Senior-level experience inData Engineering
• Strong hands-on experience withSnowflake
• Strong hands-on experience withDatabricks (DBX) and Spark-based data processing
• Experience withSnowflake-to-Databricks migration projects is highly preferred
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex data transformations
• Experience with Python and modern data engineering tools
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
• Experience with data orchestration tools such asAirflow or similar
• Ability to work independently in a remote contractor environment
• Fluent Spanish communication skills,
• Strong technical and business English (oral, reading and writing)
• Availability to work withinLATAM time zones
