POSITION SUMMARY

The Mission of Hope Christian Prep is to provide a high-quality, early childhood education to the families in our community to connect them to live the life of a Jesus Follower.

A classroom assistant supports the lesson planning teacher with all daily needs from cleaning & disinfecting the classroom to preparing the daily supplies and assisting students. 

This is a weekday morning, school-year commitment. There is no Summer program. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understanding of appropriate development for ages 2 through 6
• Read and follow age-appropriate lesson plans daily
• Prep classroom and materials for daily plans
• Follow leadership of the classroom lesson planning teacher
• Assist with proper classroom management as it pertains to behavior, schedule, health, and safety
• Assist with appropriate classroom cleanness and disinfecting 
• Communicate clearly with students, classroom teacher and parents
• Obtain Childcare Licensing background check prior to start date
• Obtain First Aid/CPR Certification prior to start date
• Obtain Negative Tuberculin skin test prior to start date
• Secure Nevada Registry Membership within 90 days
• Maintain 24 hours of required CEU Training annually
• Commit to the full school year 
• Monitor and respond to Hope Church emailsdaily
• Thrive in an energetic, positive environment
• Complete all requirements within 90-day probationary period
