Ice Rink Attendant

The Haverford Township Skatium is hiring!

This position is critical to the day-to-day operations of the facility as it is on the front lines of interacting with our teams, guests, and community user groups. 

Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide guests with excellent customer service in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
• 
  Provide information about rink programming both in person and over the phone
• 
  Collect cash, processing credit card transactions, filling out necessary paperwork for point of sale
• 
  Assist in the setup and break down of games & events
• 
  Responsible for checking locker rooms, housekeeping tasks, and other duties as assigned
• 
  Assist in handing out, cleaning, and putting away rental skates
• 
  Educate patrons about facility rules and policies for enjoyment and safety
• 
  Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
• 
  Comply with the required dress code in a cold environment the entire shift
• 
  Provide basic first aid to skaters and notify a supervisor of accidents as needed

Qualifications:

• Able to skate confidently and perform basic skills is required
• 
  Upbeat and outgoing personality
• 
  Strong understanding of customer service
• 
  Capable of working as both an individual and part of a team 
• 
  Able to follow routine verbal and written instructions
• 
  Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
• 
  Must be able to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation and stand for 6 hours
• 
  Ability to works nights, weekends, and some holidays is required
  
• 
  Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screenings
